Primary Purpose: Implement and oversee the Early College High School program that provides students with access to an education, training and experience that will lead to the completion of their high school graduation and higher education.
Experience:
- Three years as a successful classroom teacher
- Leadership experience preferred
Education/Certification:
- Bachelor's degree from accredited university
- Valid Texas teaching certificate

- Knowledge and understanding of the ECHS model
- Strong organizational, motivational, communiation and interpersonal skills
- Flexibility, patience and perseverance
- Ability to develop business/community partnerships and public relations
- Ability to multitask, problem solve, and be solution oriented
- Ability to communicate effectively with students, parents and community stakeholders
- Proficient in creating spreadsheeets, flyers, callouts and mailouts
Resonsibilities and Duties:
- Develop and maintain a clear plan for assessing and tracking college readiness for all students
- Organize and oversee the interview and admissions process
- Foster collaboration between ECHS and the IHE
- Review and work with IHE to revise MOIU to meet needs of ECHS
- Collaborate with special programs such as Special Education, 504, EB, etc.
- Promote behavioral expectations and persistence through high school and promote skills and awareness to succeed in college
- Organize and oversee all testing affilitated with ECHS
- Oversee the ECHS budget allocation
- Supervise the maintenance of permanent records and transcripts for all students
- Interpret and share information about student achievement and progress with parents, teachers and personnel
- Ensure current 4-year plans for all students by scheduling and conducting conference with parents and students, providing accurate information about course offerings, requirements and suitability
- Coordinate a program of new student orientation in conjunction with the IHE
- Promptly respond to a parent and/or student inquiries
